We just got back from Allie's parent's ranch house in Celina, and we had a great time celebrating Justin and my birthdays! Since our birthdays are only 4 days away, our friends decided to throw a double big and double fun birthday weekend celebration. The ranch house is huge and feels like a resort because it's in the middle of nowhere and fully decorated with southwestern decor... it's the best place to relax and spend quality time with everyone.
We got there on Friday night and ate pizza while we watched the Olympics opening ceremony. Allie and Steph got me some really fun jewelry, and Justin & I got our own birthday cake :) Later, everyone played poker and had a great time laughing and catching up.

The next morning, we woke up and ate breakfast out by the pool... it was sooooo nice. We had pancakes, fruit, eggs and bacon... Y-U-M. Y'all know I love me some breakfast. Later the boys started playing the wii while the girls went out by the pool to lay out.

(Sidenote: Last weekend Ryan and I went to our apartment pool, and I didn't wear any sunblock. Well, I got just a little burned [see pic] but it turned into a tan pretty quickly...)
Well, I thought I could do the same thing at the ranch and slip by with maybe a minor burn. Oh, was I wrong. Let me just say that I am a LOBSTER right now--complete with a perfect sunglasses line on my face. I've been wearing Aloe like it's my job, and every time Ryan sees me, he just says "aw... I feel so bad for you...". Yeah. I'm really hoping this turns into some form of a tan or at least doesn't peel.
