viva las vegas: days 1 & 2

Okay, so since there are over 100 pictures that I want to post on the blog (because they're all just too good not to post), I'm splitting the trip up by days :)

Day 1 -Thursday:
We met up at Aunt Jeri's house and all rode together to the airport...we were so excited to get away and have a girls weekend! We got to the airport early, so we got to sit and eat dinner at the Fridays there in the airport. We started off the weekend right with fun and fruity drinks! Christen was really excited to have one of her first as a 21-year-old. Our plane took off at 8pm, so it was a relaxing night flight, and I got to catch a few winks of sleep before we got to Vegas. The first thing we saw as we got off the plane, was a big row of slot machines right there in the airport. So we just had to partake!
We were all pretty awestruck by the Strip at night... all of the lights were beautiful, and I couldn't wait to see everything!

I had thought that once we got to Vegas, we'd just go back to our hotel and sleep....oh was I wrong. We all got freshened up and went right down to the casino for some blackjack! I was sad that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the casino because it was gorgeous and so much fun. I won a few bucks on a slot machine, and then we got some much-needed late night dinner from the deli downstairs...I got an omelet and it was tasty! Later we crashed and woke up ready for fun and full day ahead of us.
Day 2 - Friday:
We all woke up and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. I got chocolate chip pancakes, and it was delightful!!! Then we explored the hotel. Jeri and I booked our tickets to see the Cirque du Soleil show (the "Love" one that is based off of the Beatles' songs), and then we got a few pictures of the beautiful forest and waterfall in the middle of our hotel.

Then, we ventured out onto the Strip to see everything there was to see! I couldn't get over how HUGE all of the casinos and buildings were. I can't imagine how those hotels can fill all of their rooms because there were tons!
saw this cool mall with a swirly escalator...
moving sidewalks were everywhere...which was nice.
view of our hotel...inside Caesar's Palace
FAO Schwartz
Ahh.. Paris.
pretty glass leaves in the Bellagio
in front of the big fountains at the Bellagio (where Brad Pitt & George Clooney stood in Oceans 11!)
in front of the Eiffel
at an AMAZING Mexican food restaurant at New York New York... that's where we spent the next three hours playing blackjack, and I came out 75 bucks ahead!
Christen put three bucks in a slot machine and got 30 back in coins!
then we rode the big rollercoaster that was all around the casino... so FUN.
later we went to the M&M factory store and saw this wall of M&Ms... yum.
That night, we were absolutely exhausted...so we ordered room service and watched Pretty Woman in our hotel room before we crashed.

[Coming up next: Breakfast in Paris, a ride on top of the world, the Price is Right & lights in downtown.]
