On Thursday night, we met up with the Johnsons (David & Julie) and the Stewarts (Matt & Courtney) at Texas Roadhouse. It was such a good time, and Courtney played a little prank on David by telling the waiters it was his birthday. We had awesome conversation, and we are truly so excited about our ever-forming friendships with these couples :)

On Friday night, we got dinner with Mom and Papa (who was in town for a few days). We went out to Outback and had a wonderful meal... yum. Then we went over to Mom's house to see her kitchen mid-remodeling! It is looking SO GOOD! Head over to her blog to see the progress.
On Saturday morning, I went to a lingerie lunch shower for my good friend Kristin Lewis (soon-to-be Brown). She is leaving for Jamaica this Wednesday to marry the love of her life, Alan! It's so romantic because it's going to be just the two of them--no guests--on the beach getting married. Later in October they're having a reception party for everyone to celebrate with them. We love them, and we are so excited about their romantic getaway wedding :)
Then, that afternoon... Ryan and I did nothing. It was glorious. We basically laid on the couch and watched tv ALL afternoon and evening. I couldn't have asked for a better, lazier, wonderful afternoon. Here are some pictures of our "nothing". Beware of the goofiness.

On Sunday after church, we went over to a couple's home to watch the Cowboy's game with some of our class. We had a great time, and it was fun to see who really gets into the competitive mode and who would rather just eat snacks and talk with the girls...ahem...(me).
After the game we met Dad & Dawn for dinner at La Hacienda for some good Mexican food, and it was lots of fun chatting with them. Although... Dad gives me a hard time for over-filling Ryan's social calendar, which I really don't think he minds! Now it's the start of a new week that is going to be SUPER busy. I'm working overtime to make up for the days I'm taking off for the VEGAS trip!!! But, with that, comes longer hours, more caffeine, and a new eye twitch that I think is attributed to the lack of sleep or stress...or both. Wish me luck for an easy week!
