Man oh man, we have been busy lately! Literally every night this past week was filled up in my planner with stuff to do. Granted, all of it was fun, and we love having friends and family to hang out with...so life could be worse :) But just in case I forget, I'm listing a day by day recap so I'll remember. Some days have more pictures than others, but you get the idea.
Monday:
My mom hosted Keno (a bingo-like game that a group of women and I have been playing once a month for the last 4 years) at her house, so I helped her get everything set up and spent the evening winning (and stealing) fun gifts... I'm a little competitive :) Ryan got a "boys night" with his brother so it was a win-win situation.

Tuesday:
This was a double "boys night" week for us because I had my own girls night with Cathryn and Steph. So while Ryan, Peter and Justin played video game and ate pizza, we girls went to Mi Cocina and chatted over chips & queso. Yum. Then we walked down to Coldstone and got some ice cream while we walked around the pond at the Shops at Legacy. It was such a great night of girl time and catching up.
Wednesday:
That day at work, Ryan hand-delivered some really gorgeous roses to my office... sooo sweet.
Thursday:We went over to the McCrady home for dinner and to celebrate my birthday (yes, I know it's been over a week, but who am I to turn down a celebration?!) My mom came too, and we enjoyed burgers and the most amazing dessert ever--Death by Chocolate--that Gail made for us. Of course Dave, my father-in-law, was singing the happy birthday song off key at the top of his lungs while taking a ton of pictures. So fun! The McCradys got me one of the coolest gifts... A really fun tote bag that coincidentally had a dachshund and the word "Scout" on there! How random is that?!??! Gail said she just absolutely couldn't pass that up when she saw it. They also got me some really nice spa lotion, a crystal jewelry tray, and a gift certificate for a massage!!! After that we went to Ryan's softball game where they won! Best birthday ever! (*note on the pictures: Mom was using some artistic angles on a few of these...)
Friday:
Ryan met me for lunch on my break, and we went to Potbelly.. then we walked down to Tart bakery for some yummy cupcakes. We sat by the pond, looking at our reception hotel and reminiscing while we ate some pretty awesome dessert. :)
That night, I was pretty tired, and it was the first day we didn't have anything to do all week, so I immediately got into my PJs after work, and Ryan picked up some Olive Garden to go. We just relaxed and watched TV all night--definitely some needed R&R time.
Saturday:
I got to sleep in which is always a nice thing. Then we got up and went to the Galleria right when it opened. The mall was sooo ncie without all those people there! My goal was to get a bunch of work clothes with the money Dad gave me for my birthday...and it was a success! Let me just say that I heart the Limited. We got all of our shopping done and we were back at the apartment by 2:30! So we decided to order Sweeney Todd (it got an Oscar so it can't be bad right?) from On Demand. Wow... Definitely not what we were expecting. Oh well.
Later that night, we met up with Ashley, Ellory and the Reas for dinner at Fireside Pies. We had a great time catching up, and I got MORE birthday presents! Then we walked down to Coldstone (that's twice in one week if you're keeping track) and then went back to the Reas' house to hang out. The boys ended up playing Rock Band while the girls sat and chatted for a few hours. SO much fun.
Sunday:
We went to church, and as always we were blessed by all of our new friends and our teachers in class. Then we went out to lunch at P.F. Changs with Kendra and Jared, an engaged couple who are getting married in October. That afternoon I took a much needed nap, and then we met up with even more couples from our class at a Mexican restaurant called Tijuanas. Kendra & Jared were there, along wth Joseph & Hollen and Merydith & Danny. Such a fun night!
Whew. Okay I think that's all I can remember. Kudos to anybody who read that whole thing. :)
