bentley got bullied

Last night Steph and Cathryn brought Ryan and me some cheesecake because we had a ROUGH day. It was one of those days where when it rained, it poured. Won't divulge all the details here, but cheesecake was definitely needed. (Yes, that's 2 cheesecakes in 1 week. Don't judge. I'm feeling guilty enough for all of us!)

They also brought over Cat's new, 8-week old miniature beagle named Bentley last night, and he was PRECIOUS! Almost as cute as Scoutie was when he was that age.... (you decide :) )

But, our attempts at creating a new-found friendship between Bentley and Scout were quickly shut down as soon as Scout went crazy and tried to kill him. Awesome. Why does OUR dog have to be the bully!?

Even though Scout barks at every dog he sees while we're walking him, we naively hoped that he would be okay with a new puppy in the apartment. Boy, were we wrong. Scout literally went nuts and was the most high strung I've ever seen him. We tried to hold the puppies away from each other and slowly bring them together so they would be able to sniff each other and get acquainted... And after a while, Scout had really started to calm down so we brought them even closer together. Well, then Scout LUNGED forward and BIT poor Bentley's nose, sending him into a painful whining spell. Poor, little precious Bentley just wanted to play, and Scout had to be the bully. :(

Sorry, Bentley. Our dog sucks sometimes. :(

And to think, I had been hoping for one of those orange kittens that still don't have a home... Guess I won't be getting one of those for my birthday.... [Insert pity party here.]

Bently LOVED Ryan

Right before Scout bit poor Bentley. Bad dog!

Despite the disappointment of the bad day and the sad reality of no more pets, Ryan and I are so blessed to have such great friends that make us laugh with prank calls, pray for us, and bring us cheesecake :)

Thank you!!!
